Bountiful Baskets

So here in Arizona we have a co-op that delivers produce, bread, cheese etc. to a local park every other Saturday. Today as I was putting away my produce and what a bountiful amount it is as you can see. I thought I should remind all of my Arizona friends who might read my blog every now and then what a great deal this is(If I haven't already). :)

Bountifulbaskets.org is the website where you go and sign up for an offering (as they call it). They deliver all across Arizona but if you live here by me, they deliver right here in our neighborhood every other Saturday at 7:30a.m.(sorry about that). The produce offering is $15.00. So all you see in the picture...yup all that=fifteen bucks ONLY. They say it is about 50.00 dollars worth of produce. What a deal. Also they have very healthy bread that comes from a local bakery for $2.00 a loaf (I buy lots and throw them in the freezer-as you can see). Most of the stuff is pretty normal -stuff you and your family would eat most everyday. The only unusual things in this offering were persimmons. But thanks to my California friend who grew up with a persimmon tree in her backyard, I know you can just eat them like an apple!

It is a co-op so they ask you to help if you can. You do not need to help every time. I have ordered several times and today was my first day helping. I just came at 7 and helped get the stuff into the baskets. Elias came with me and we had fun. I was done by 7:30. And helpers can also take any of the surplus produce they want!!! Who knew.

Okay that is probably enough for this post since you can go to their website and read it all there.

Oh how I've missed you! And funny thing is...within the last couple of weeks I found Whit's work website and I was planning to call and leave a message for him to pass to you so I could finally talk to you again.

How fun to see your darling kids! They are so grown up.

Congratulations on adding a fourth. He is darn cute like the rest. And Danny reminds me so much of EJ as a littler kid...that little face is so familiar.

Tell everyone hi for me.
