Danny has taken on a new role in the home today and that is caring for one of Brooke's dolls. He has named her Jack and has given her lots of stroller rides around the house, given her a great seat next to him while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and even shared some of his most beloved costumes. He has worked hard to earn Jack's love. Well this afternoon while working in the kitchen, I had heard Danny mention that his baby was crying. A short time later he appeared again in the kitchen and as he plopped himself into a chair he looked up at me troubled, exhausted, and defeated and said, "Mom, baby won't stop CRYING! I put it in its crib, sang it Pirates of the Caribbean song but it still won't stop!" "What do you think your baby needs to feel happy?" I said. Danny-pause, pause, pause...a Binky!....contemplate, contemplate, more pausing...and a BALLOON!!! And with that a newly rejuvenated Danny jumped off his chair and ran back upstairs to tend to his crying Jack who appeared with him moments later with two balloons and sporting a very stylish western vest!

What a great post! You & Danny will love having this when he is older. Such a cute moment. He sounds like so much fun to be around. Love the dress up picture with the glasses & hat. But most of all, I love that he sang Pirates of the Caribbean to baby Jack. Such good practice for being a dad.
