Ty has been our baby of firsts in many ways. Earliest crawler, earliest walker, earliest precarious climber, first one to make escaping the house and running to the park a habit and in the case with this post, earliest child to climb out of his crib. We tried everything, even lowering the crib beyond what was probably safe to do then watched as he climbed out in ten seconds flat right before our very eyes. We weren't ready to give up the crib but what could we do. He was ready. It was a sad Saturday for Mom as Whit went to work taking the crib down. Ty helped. I didn't. I just watched and felt sad.Now he has a little mattress on the floor for now which he loves because he can charge down the hall and into his room and fly onto his bed...he isn't the only boy in the family that loves doing that.
