I have been in my twizzler lovin bubble. I assumed EVERYONE loved twizzlers as I have for as long as I can remember. Last week we bought a bag and thru several attempts to share my divine treat, I was shocked to find my kids declining them (what???? It's candy!!!!), and finding 1/4 eaten twizzlers lying around the house. Even the neighbor was over today and I offered her one thinking I was definitly earning points as the koolaid Mom. After eating half she said they weren't her favorite and did not want any more. Even Whit is partial to Red Vines. So her I am as the lone Twizzler fan in the house...actually I did let Ty suck on one for a bit and he cried A LOT when I took it away so maybe there will be two of us.
Do I have any other twizzler passer uppers out there??

i also LOVE twizzlers--kevin does not, either does olivia, but my boys like them, too. i was thrilled when i bought a bag for our last road trip and discovered that they're now in a "stay fresh" kind of pack with a ziplock type closing! thank you twizzler! i ate probably 80% of that bag, just on the drive to and from florida. red vines have never been my thing, unless i'm at a movie with a drink, and bite off both ends to use it as the straw. but i haven't done that for years.
Red Vines for me--sorry, but Andrew would enjoy the Twizzlers with you. He LOVES the chocolate ones too, but I have ONLY seen those in Idaho.
"Kool-aid mom"--LOVE IT!
Andrea
I'm usually a Red Vines fan but recently Jason brought home some Twizzlers and I practically ate the whole bag. So, if it is gone when you get back from Philly..."It wasn't me!":) Remind me to tell you a story about me and Red Vines
You can brake out the twizzlers when I start showing up at the door. Ymm I think I need to go and find me a treat now that I read your blog. Thanks Laura
I have to say after being neglected of both red vines and twizzlers or 2 years now (only an american treat). It is red vines I crave. But I must admit I am shocked no one liked twizzlers. I know if you offered them to my kids they would be devoured in a second! I love Brooke's candid pics, and your Swedish soccer team!
I love twizzlers and red vines. You are definately not alone. Try the australian brand licorice at target(red). You may find another addiction. Tell Whit that we are neighbors with Tim and Jodi Fan....small world. Love the picture with the Swedish Jerseys!
Ahhhh Laura. Although I have a serious issue with sugar in most forms I am not a lover of twizzlers. Red Vines on the other hand do not last long around me. I buy one carefully selected bag for me, and one for my family. I actually have a "squeeze the bag test" for maximum tastiness. Sometimes if I feel I shouldn't eat an entire bag by myself I get a bag with not so soft red vines so my mouth gets to tired to eat them all at once. hmmmm I might have to make a trip to the store right now. The good thing for you though is that no one else will eat your twizzlers so you don't even have to find a hiding place for them when you don't want to share.
HI laura,
I really can't believe I'm the EIGHTH person to weigh in on the Twizzler/Red Vine debate and I'm going to throw a wrench in things and admit that I like BLACK licorice. I don't know anybody else except my mom who prefers actual licorice to the fake-o red stuff. But Ren's Mom is all about Twizzlers, so I'll send her your way when she comes again. (I love that you're giving Ty candy already -- it's because he's the fourth child!)
