Here come those lazy days of Summer

Over the weekend Elias said more than once how excited he was knowing that school was almost out. I remember that feeling as a kid, so much anticipation that the last few days of school were wasted in daydreams of waking up to the sound of the lawn mower and freshly cut grass, sleep overs on the trampoline, trips to classic water slides, the drive in, fireworks in the driveway, and of course summer would not be complete without a stake day at Lagoon.

Tomorrow is the last day of school so this week has been full of end of the year events.

Elias had a science day where the class had to talk about reports on insects they had done and they were allowed to dress up as scientists. He decided that since he had choosen to write a report on black widows that dressing up as a mad scientist was a perfect fit. He gave himself the name of "Dr. Ellsworth" for the day and several parents couldn't get over his English accent as he told them about the diet of the widow spider.

This is Elias' wonderful teacher Mrs. Salas.

We also attended Brooke's kindergarten graduation yesterday too. All of the kindergartners sang songs that they have practiced for weeks. Brooke said earlier in the day that she couldn't wait to get up on that stage. She is my budding performer. She also shares the exact opposite of Elias' feelings and is very sad that school is going to end. Each day she comes home in mourning. She even said that the last day of school would not be a good day to go out for ice cream because she would be too sad.

EJ is definitely a Church...loves to dress up for the occasion and go all out. It's so true-boys love that school is ending and girls hate it. We need to come swimming and hang out!

EJ should hold on to that for Halloween next year. Avery also had the same thoughts as Ty,, she dumped the entire box of Rice Crispies in the carpet today. I vacumed forever and you can still crunch them in your toes. You gotta love almost 2 year olds

My guess is Elias is Whit's son and my grandson. Who else would dare dress up like a mad scientist and give his report in an English accent? Cherrio!

I hope we get to be a part of your summer adventures! Will you be in UT this summer? We would be in AZ but Harv's whole family moved out here to VA!

He gets that flare for the dramatic from Whit....and the penchant for wearing white coats...I think.

Brooke looks so sweet and beautiful. I hope she has adjusted to summer.

We will be in Utah starting July 9. We would love to get together if you have and afternoon or night!

How can we reach you?
