Child labor or just smart parenting?

So this is how we spent our holiday. Well not the whole holiday but thanks to a small amount of bribery and a few goofy games like mop karaoke and "germ zappers", I had three kids very willing to help me whip this house into shape.

Hi Laura, I am so glad you started blogging. It is so fun to go online and see some of the fun things the kids are doing. It makes this long-distance grandmothering a lot more fun. I love you.

I vote smart parenting! Anytime you think that I need to practice my parenting skills...I always have a floor that could use a good singing too.

that is a classic picture. is that little whit in the back or what?
What a fun mom...making housework fun! Wow I can't believe little brookie has a CD player...getting so big! I can relate with the whole sucking hands business..Little Hughie is obsessed with his hands, too. I have tried to lure him away with the binkie, but he will have none of it. His hands are too tasty! He sucks them 24 hours a day. I think he is going to be a thumb sucker...ahhh. oh well!

Definitely smart parenting! My tactics are more child labor related. "Do it or no TV," "Anything I find on the floor, goes in the garbage, you have 10 seconds!" Of course those are the longest 10 seconds ever, I can't bring myself to really throw it away!

This post brought the BIGGEST smile to my face. I just know that you and Whit have got to be some of the best parents I know! Thanks for the inspiration.
